“There’s a real mix of people here – we have web developers, app developers, graphic designers, illustrators, writers and more.” Christina Wan, a project manager, said. “And because we all work on different things, there’s a lot of cross-pollination of ideas.”

Inspiration meets collaboration

GOBLOK was founded in early 2021 by Jameson Toole, a web developer and entrepreneur. He saw an opportunity to create a space combining his passions: code and creativity.

“I was working from home and felt isolated,” he said. “I missed being around other people and thought it would be great to have a space where people with different skills could come together, collaborate and learn from each other.”

There are many co-working spaces in London. But what sets GOBLOK apart is that it focuses on bringing people from different backgrounds and disciplines together to create something new.

 

Imagination fuels innovation

“As soon as I stepped through the door, I could see that this was a place where anything was possible.”

This is how Emily Black, a freelance writer and GOBLOK member, describes her first impression of the co-working space. And that is a feeling shared by many of the other members.

“It’s an inspiring place to work,” she said. “There’s always something new to see; it is a great environment to meet new people and develop new ideas.”

The sense of energy and passion is palpable as soon as you walk into GOBLOK. And it is this creative atmosphere that has attracted a growing community of digital innovators.

“It’s a very intentional and international space,” Toole said. “We have members from the US, Europe, Asia and beyond. And that’s one of the things I love about it. You never know who you will meet or what they are working on.”

“It’s like a family here,” Black said.

Every Friday, the GOBLOK team hosts a members’ dinner where all community members dine and delve into their work.

GoBlok Announces Expansion in the UK to Better Serve Creative and Coding Professionals

Independent professionals seek flexible working opportunities as they seek more freedom and uncover potential collaboration. GOBLOK intends to open many new co-working facilities in the UK, providing hundreds of available seats.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, 12 NOVEMBER 2022 – “There’s been a tremendous growth in demand for flexible co-working space,” observes GOBLOK Managing Director Joe Bloggs. “Coding and creative professionals are looking for solutions that enable them to collaborate with their peers and operate in an inspiring environment to produce their best work.”

With this in mind, GOBLOK has markedly increased its footprint across the UK by opening seven new centres. These will add an additional 50,000 sqft of office space, with more than 800 available seats.

Coding and creative professionals near these regional centres will now be able to take advantage of co-working opportunities where they may previously have had no options.
