SOCIAL MEDIA

A strong presence on social media is important for a brand as it allows them to connect with its audience and build a community of followers. By regularly posting about its profile, products, position, people, and place, a brand can showcase its values and unique offerings, differentiate itself from competitors, and establish trust with its audience, potentially leading to increased sales.

Incorporating social media stories into a brand’s strategy can help strengthen a brand’s online presence and reputation. Social media stories offer a quick and visually engaging way for a brand to connect with its audience and highlight its profile, products, position, people, and place. By posting stories, a brand can showcase its personality and values that help build a stronger connection with followers. Additionally, social media stories have the added benefit of being ephemeral, creating a sense of urgency and encouraging followers to engage with the content before it disappears.

NEWSLETTER

Newsletters are a useful tool for brands to communicate with their audience and keep them informed about the latest news and updates. By deploying newsletters, a brand can establish itself as a thought leader in its industry and provide valuable content to its subscribers. Newsletters can also promote new products, events, and special offers, helping drive traffic and sales. Additionally, newsletters can help build a sense of community and encourage engagement with the brand.

4 ways to maximize the ROI of a Master of Architecture degree

Like all investments, pursuing a Master of Architecture degree comes with risks. Find out how to maximise your ROI.

What makes a Master of Architecture valuable is its ability to accelerate career growth vertically and horizontally. Yet, program acceptance is only the first step, and success is not guaranteed. These four strategies can help ensure your investment is worthwhile.

I _ Future-proof your investment with digital skills

According to Simon Bayon, Head of Career Services at Kinesis Institute, employers value people with digital skills.

Digital transformation, which has only grown in importance during the pandemic, is difficult. McKinsey reports that although 80% of enterprises have attempted projects, only around a third succeed – in fact, it’s harder for larger companies. What businesses need is people capable of leading the change.

Programs like Kinesis Institute’s Master of Architecture cater to this by offering a specialised Strategy and Digital Leadership track. This equips students with the know-how to improve organisational performance and manage the changes brought about by digitalisation.

There are also chances to exercise these skills, like at the Kinesis Digital Week competition in the US, where students work on a consulting project for a digital challenge that real companies face. At the end of the week, students present their ideas to a panel of company representatives, testing not just their digital knowledge but also client management abilities.

The push for blended learning, coupled with a staple of group work in the Kinesis curriculum, also means the Master’s students graduate with the ability to navigate online platforms to communicate and manage projects smoothly. So instead of lamenting the difficulties of coordinating meetings and managing expectations across timezones, use this to hone the soft skills you need to stand out in the working world.

II _ Tap on the myriad of career service offerings

Most business schools will offer the basics of curriculum vitae (CV) reviews and career fairs to help students both prepare for their job search and network with potential employers.

Some, like the Kinesis Institute’s program, go a step further by assigning students a dedicated career coach throughout the course of their studies, so students can tap on the knowledge of an experienced professional – with a background that matches theirs – for advice on how to carve out their own journey.

There is also Career Week, where students will have three interviews: with a recruitment manager, a headhunter and a career coach to get objective feedback on their strengths and weaknesses, as well as insider tips on how to succeed in their careers.

Actively participate in initiatives like these, even if they may be outside your field of interest, Master’s student, 25-year-old Armand Delaney Peters, from South Africa, says. For example, although he has no plans to pursue a career in consulting, he found a case consulting workshop approach extremely useful because “they taught us clear tools that you can use not just in consulting, but in absolutely every industry” as well.

III _ Find opportunities to boost your global mobility

“Cross-cultural skills are also in demand, and [employers] like students that have lived, worked and studied abroad or in various countries,” Bayon shares.

Kinesis Institute’s program offers plenty of options for global exposure with its intercampus mobility. It allows students to pursue their studies in both the US and China and understand the Asian and European ways of doing business. International field trips are also conducted to immerse students in different socio-economic and cultural contexts.

No doubt, this contributes to why Kinesis has been ranked top 10 in the world for its international experience by the European Global Ranking, and perhaps also why the institute’s Master’s graduate employability statistics stand out: 52% of graduates change sector, 54% change function and 46% also change country.

IV _ Connect with the robust alumni network

Finally, there is also the power of alumni relationships. “We always advise that the number one priority should be networking. That’s the top priority for getting a job,” Warren Ng, Kinesis Institute Recruitment Manager, SEA ANZ & North Asia, shares.

He adds, “Our alumni will work with students over coffee chats and talk to them about their career aspirations.”

At Kinesis, that’s a network of over 100,000 strong and counting, simply because the school has been around since 1950. Recent graduates of the Master’s program have taken up positions in the likes of Gensler, DP Architects and Nikken Sekkei, just to name a few, and there are many more in established organisations across the globe.

So look out for those with a similar background or who have taken a path similar to what you’d like. Reach out for advice or connections – and don’t forget to follow up at the end. Remember, the structure of a Master’s program is designed to set you up for success, so make full use of the resources at hand to convert your qualification into the key to your dreams.

Publishing editorial articles and blog posts is an important part of a brand’s content marketing strategy because it allows them to showcase their expertise and thought leadership in their industry. By producing high-quality, informative content, a brand can attract and engage its target audience and establish itself as a reliable source of information. Additionally, editorial articles and blog posts can help drive traffic to a brand’s website and potentially lead to increased sales. They can also be shared on social media and other platforms, helping to expand the brand’s reach and visibility.

Kinesis Institute Launches Jenga Software for Building Information Modelling

The latest architectural software, Jenga, comes from the evolution of modern Building Information Modelling technology.

MASSACHUSETTS, UNITED STATES, 17 NOVEMBER 2022 — “There are no limits in the world of building and design,” says renowned commercial architect John David.

Kinesis Institute is a postgraduate architectural school focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning. The graduating class of 2022 has created a framework to revolutionise Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology as we know it.

With the growing use of BIM technology as a simulator for building design and construction, the Jenga software is designed to enhance the visualisation of projects from the onset. As a result, architects, contractors, and engineers can automate building designs in a virtual environment.

The cost of building is high, and with the current inflation rates, prices are only going up. Therefore, innovative measures to mitigate unnecessary costs while enhancing efficiency in the construction industry are no longer a luxury but a need.

Jenga operates with Google Earth and other 3D design tools to enhance the virtual environment’s accuracy, meaning that building professionals can formulate designs from anywhere on earth without viewing the project site physically.

Additionally, the software creates detailed, high-quality animation footage of a project, providing a clear picture of the design work that any layperson can interpret and appreciate.

Key points on the launch of Jenga software by Kinesis Institute

  • The Jenga software is efficient, reliable, and accurate.
  • The software has been undergoing testing in the last six months, enhancing quality and productivity while significantly reducing project costs and delivery time.
  • Jenga is a comprehensive software covering all aspects of building projects, from exterior structures to the nitty gritty of plumbing.
  • Experts in the Architects, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry project that the Jenga software will be worth three times its current value within the next two years.
  • Jenga monthly subscriptions are available at a subsidised fee of $150, including a free trial period.

Key insights from the founders of Kinesis Institute and Jenga software

  • On the benefits of investing in the Jenga software. “Building projects shouldn’t be as complicated as they have been in the past. Jenga software allows one to engage the services of internationally accredited AEC professionals by eliminating the distance limitation. It’s a worthy investment if you ask me,” said Shakur Pacman, founder of Kinesis Institute.
  • On the value of enrolling at the Kinesis Institute. “Joining Kinesis Institute was the best decision I made for my career. Not only did I get equipped for the job market, but I also got the opportunity to explore my creativity and earn a living at it. I received more value than I could have ever hoped or dreamed,” said Temi Olukambi, an alumnus of Kinesis Institute and co-developer of Jenga software.
  • On the future of BMI technology. “The possibilities are endless. We need more great minds to explore what our forefathers never thought possible. We’re calling upon young people across the globe to utilise the resources available to them. The future is ours for the taking,” said Dr David Smith, a professor at Kinesis Institute.
