SOCIAL MEDIA

A strong presence on social media is important for a brand as it allows them to connect with its audience and build a community of followers. By regularly posting about its profile, products, position, people, and place, a brand can showcase its values and unique offerings, differentiate itself from competitors, and establish trust with its audience, potentially leading to increased sales.

Incorporating social media stories into a brand’s strategy can help strengthen a brand’s online presence and reputation. Social media stories offer a quick and visually engaging way for a brand to connect with its audience and highlight its profile, products, position, people, and place. By posting stories, a brand can showcase its personality and values that help build a stronger connection with followers. Additionally, social media stories have the added benefit of being ephemeral, creating a sense of urgency and encouraging followers to engage with the content before it disappears.

NEWSLETTER

Newsletters are a useful tool for brands to communicate with their audience and keep them informed about the latest news and updates. By deploying newsletters, a brand can establish itself as a thought leader in its industry and provide valuable content to its subscribers. Newsletters can also promote new products, events, and special offers, helping drive traffic and sales. Additionally, newsletters can help build a sense of community and encourage engagement with the brand.

An enlightened escape

Sometimes, the best way to find yourself is to escape from a space that restricts self-discovery. Find out how Obscura paved the way for our celebrity guests.

“It was an unforgettable experience… I felt more connected to myself than ever before,” Julianna Preston said.

When the founder and CEO of Obscura announced the launch of her new hospitality group, which would focus on unique and natural destinations, the world took notice.

Avid travellers were eager to experience the transformative power of nature in some of the world’s most beautiful places.

The first Obscura property opened its doors in Patagonia, and shortly after, three celebrities checked in for a life-changing experience.

For actress Billy James, it was a chance to reconnect with her inner self and find peace away from the limelight. For professional surfer John Florence, it was an opportunity to explore unknown territories and test his limits. And for TV presenter Bryan Crest, it was a chance to get off the grid and truly relax.

A once in a lifetime experience

The journey began at the Obscura luxury lodge in El Chaltén, where they met their guides for the week-long trek. From there, they hiked through soaring mountains and glacial lakes, crossed raging rivers on footbridges built especially for the trip, and even slept under the stars a night.

For James, it was more than just a vacation – it was a life-changing experience.

“I felt like I’ve been given a new perspective,” she said. “I didn’t know what I was looking for, but this trip helped me find a sense of peace and calm that I didn’t even know I was missing.”

Florence, who is used to spending his days surfing all over the world, found a different kind of thrill on the trip. “I’ve never felt so alive as when we were summiting that mountain,” he said. “It was incredible to know that we accomplished such a great challenge together.

Finding peace in the moments

For Crest, who is used to being on the go 24/7, the trip was a chance to take a break from his hectic lifestyle and enjoy the moment.

“In today’s world, it’s so easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle and forget what’s important,” he said. “This trip reminded me that sometimes the best things in life are right under our noses.”

James, currently filming the highly anticipated sequel to Return to Heart Valley, appreciated the opportunity to recharge her batteries before plunging back into the madness of Hollywood.

“It’s so important to take time for yourself and regroup,” she said. “My time at Obscura has given me a new perspective on life, and I won’t take it for granted anymore.”

The power of nature

There’s no doubt that the Obscura experience is unique, but what makes it so special?

For Preston, the combination of luxury and adventure sets Obscura apart. “We believe that everyone deserves to experience the world in their own way,” she said. “We create personalised itineraries for our guests so they can get the most out of their time with us.”

But unlike other luxury retreats, Obscura isn’t just about pampering your body but also nourishing your soul.

“We believe in nature’s cathartic and healing power,” Preston said. “There’s something extraordinary about being in a place that is so wild and unspoiled. It allows you to let go of your everyday worries and see your place in the world in a new light.”

And that is what Obscura is all about: an unparalleled opportunity to connect with nature and, in turn, with yourself.

Obscura Offers New Affordable Caribbean Retreat on Private Island

Visitors enjoy luxury accommodations, top-tier amenities, and true relaxation in a unique island paradise.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, 12 DECEMBER 2022 – “We envisioned The Getaway as a Caribbean escape that’s accessible to people even if they aren’t millionaires,” described Obscura CEO Matthew Buddings.

Obscura, a global hospitality group managing properties in remote destinations across the world, has announced the opening of their newest resort, The Getaway. Located on a privately owned Caribbean island, The Getaway offers luxury options for vacationers of all effects, even if they are on a travel budget.

After acquiring the ownership rights to the island, The Getaway was planned from the ground up as a new type of vacation destination. The resort scales packages with full amenities even for the more price-conscious guests. From spending time on the water to gourmet eats and world-class entertainment, The Getaway reimagines the island life experience for every visitor.

Key points of The Getaway opening

  • Breathtaking island vistas. The privately owned Caribbean island provides guests with a fully immersive island retreat.
  • Activities for all ages. The resort goes beyond the basics and offers activities, getaways, and excursions for singles, families, and retirees to enjoy. Vacationers can enjoy anything from guided bird and reptile walks on the island and floating waterboards to ballroom dancing and cooking lessons.
  • Ultracompetitive pricing. Scalable pricing offers private villas to resort rooms at surprisingly affordable rates. Obscura has also secured deals with local airlines and marine transport services to keep travel expenses as low as possible.

Key insights from Obscura executives

  • “When we first designed The Getaway, we wanted to change how our guests view the island paradise retreat. This isn’t a place where only the ultrarich can come. Now guests can truly enjoy the island life without paying more than any other typical vacation,” said Maye Fander, Hospitality Executive, Obscura.
  • “We’ve taken guest feedback to shape all the activities available on the island. You’ll get all the traditional island activities when you come. But we continue to make new and exciting events and activities available with world-class talent to enjoy,” shared Kris Anters, Event and Activity Lead, Obscura.
  • “Our partnerships with transport and airline companies help lower flight and ferry costs. That way, families can get here and back home safely without blowing their whole budget on airfare,” told Randy McIntyre, VP of Operations, Obscura.
